Rosie's backpacker Te Anau history
Our family started our backpacker homestay nearly 20 years ago and it still holds as much interest now as it did then. Our four children have grown but the interest people have in visiting the region make this a great option for us to share our home and show a little of why living/visiting Te Anau appeals. The dramatic landscape is something we will never tire of and it is easy for us to enjoy sharing any info including local activities with others while visiting Te Anau and Fiordland National Park.
Alistar and Rosie
Alistar’s 24yrs experience of working as a DOC ranger throughout Fiordland and Stewart Island and his interest in alpine regions and avalanche forecasting, along with Rosie’s work some years ago as a hut warden, and her ongoing interest in tramping regularly means we are still currently out there and enjoying what Fiordland has to offer.
